How did you two meet?
through our roommates at Notre Dame undergrad
Tell us about the proposal.
Ben surprised me on a special night in Berkeley, CA. He drove us up to an overlook where we could see all the Bay Area lights, and our friend Robby had secretly set up a little table with flowers, champagne, champagne flutes, and a stereo. Ben got down on one knee and proposed to me using a poem that he wrote. After I said yes(!), our song came on the stereo and we danced around amid a group of tourists that had come to the overlook to take pictures of the city lights. They ended up taking pictures of us, too! Then a bunch of my law school friends had thrown together a party to celebrate with us. It was a perfect proposal.

What did you like most about your hair, shoes, and dress?
My mom and I have some really special memories picking out the dress together,
and the first time Ben saw it was when I was walking down the aisle.
My mom found the shoes, and two friends did my hair and makeup.

What was your vision for your wedding day? How did you make it personal?
Vision: Spending time with friends and family, and enjoying good music, good food, and fun dancing in a gorgeous venue!
It was personal because our friends and family participated in every part of the ceremony,
and the music, cake, and decorations (including flowers, seating cards, table knick knacks, etc.) reflected our personalities.
How did you choose your venue?
Union Station is a gorgeous venue inside and out. It was also convenient for both family in the area and out-of-town guests.
What was your reception like?
The best party of our lives.
What was your favorite moment during the wedding day?

Where did you honeymoon?
We went to our Notre Dame friends’ wedding in Mumbai,
then toured Singapore for a few days, and ended the trip in northern Bali. It was amazing!
What’s next on the calendar for you as a couple?
Settling into St. Louis and cheering the Cards onto the playoffs!
